Tar Heels battle back from 1-8 defecit in game five for win.

Led by Nicole Reis' 25 kills and 20 digs, the UNC voleyball team defeated the Florida State Seminoles, 3-2 (30-22, 30-28, 20-30, 32-34, 15-13), in a hard-fought ACC battle Friday night in Carmichael Auditorium. With the win, the Tar Heels improve to 13-3 overall, 6-0 in the ACC, while FSU falls to 4-8, 2-3 in conference play.
Laura Greene was the only other Tar Heel in double-figure kills with 21, and she added 13 digs, as well. Setters Eve Rackham and Malaika Underwood each posted double-doubles in assists and digs with Rackham tallying 51 assists and 10 digs and Underwood totaling 10 asasists and 12 digs.
Norisha Campbell led the Seminoles in kills with 17, while Alex Servillano added 13 kills and 15 digs. Jennifer Anderson led the squad in assists with 55.
After taking game one, 30-28, the Tar Heels used seven kills by Reis and six by Greene to fight back from a 14-20 defecit and take game two, 30-28.
FSU outhit the Tar Heels .259 to .032 in game three to win, 30-20. Game four saw the Seminoles fall behind 14-7 early on but rally to tie the game at 22-22 and retain their momentum to win, 34-32.
FSU started strong in game five, jumping out to an 8-1 advantage, but Carolina, led by Reis' eight kills, roared back to outscore the Seminoles 14-5 and take the game, 15-13.
The Tar Heels are back in action Sunday when they host Georgia Tech at 3 p.m. in Carmichael Auditorium.
